Sound of Peace is a quiet townhouse in Queens Grant, the gated community on the southern stretch of Topsail Beach, set back where the canal meets the sound. Three bedrooms, each with its own bath, plus two desks for the days you can't fully unplug. The master opens onto an upstairs deck that catches both the sunset over the sound and the ocean over the rooftops. The community runs the way Topsail did before everyone else found it. Deeded beach access across the road, a community pool, a boat ramp at the end of the street where you can tie up right in front of the townhouse. Carport for two cars. Up to two dogs welcome. Walk a short way and you're at Jolly Roger Pier and everything that comes with it. A little further to Breezeway, which the locals quietly consider the best sound-side dinner on the island.
