Lazy Turtle sits inside Villa Capriani, the Italianate oceanfront resort tucked at the north end of the island. Three bedrooms, two baths, recently renovated, and the kind of view that resets your nervous system. The Atlantic is fifty steps away. Coffee on the balcony as the sun comes up; dolphins in the surf if you watch long enough. Villa Capriani isn't a typical Topsail spot. There are three pools (the big oceanfront one, a smaller one with a waterfall, a separate pool for the kids), a hot tub, an on-site restaurant and bar, and beach access that you can't get to without a key fob. It's the place to bring a family that wants the ocean without the work. The pools and restaurant are managed by the resort, not us. The rest, we keep ourselves.
